This course provides delegates with a comprehensive overview of the key principles which should be applied in order to practise effective bird and wildlife hazard management and control at their aerodrome. The course will provide essential information about the latest technology and equipment, methods and techniques, as well as guidance and measures which should be adopted as part of an aerodrome's Safety Management System. The course covers all facets of bird and wildlife hazard control and management including: advice from an industry best practice perspective, how to minimise bird hazard attractants, identifying trends and patterns and record keeping for risk management purposes. <br />Content <br /> <br />Learning Objectives: The course is designed to assist delegates to understand all facets of bird and wildlife hazard control and management in an aerodrome environment to enable them to design and implement a suitable wildlife management programme drawing on industry best practice on how to minimise bird hazard attractants, identifying trends and patterns and record keeping for risk management purposes. Target group This course will be of great benefit to any aerodrome staff involved in any aspect of aerodrome bird and wildlife hazard management and control, including: Aerodrome operations operatives and management; Dedicated bird and/or wildlife control managers, co-ordinators and/or operatives; Aerodrome planning staff; ATC staff, including management; Aerodrome quality and environment staff; and Aerodrome maintenance managers and personnel.<br /> <br />Target Group: This course will be of great benefit to any aerodrome staff involved in any aspect of aerodrome bird and wildlife hazard management and control, including: Aerodrome operations operatives and management; Dedicated bird and/or wildlife control managers, co-ordinators and/or operatives; Aerodrome planning staff; ATC staff, including management; Aerodrome quality and environment staff; and Aerodrome maintenance managers and personnel. Pre-requisites A background in an airport environment.
