Job Introduction:G4S is proud to be the official security services provider to 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.We'll be providing a range of security services to over 100 competition and non-competition venues including:The Olympic Park in Stratford. Sporting venues across the UK including football stadiums and the Sailing Village. The Olympic Villages and Hotels. Athletes training venues Logistics centresRole Responsibility:You will only need to apply for one role and attend one interview day to be on our system for London 2012.This application is for work in GLASGOW but during interview we will make a note of other locations you are willing/able to work.At G4S we are looking for keen, reliable staff members preferably with customer service experience.This opportunity is open to anyone, as we provide all the training you’ll need to succeed.Experience is beneficial but as long as you can remain calm under pressure, think quickly on your feet, and are good with people, we’d like to hear from you. In addition you should have:The ability to demonstrate experience in delivering customer serviceA good standard of verbal and written English communications (ideally you will already hold a GCSE A-C or an NVQ at level 2 or above)Eligibility to work in the UK5 year verifiable work/education historyThe ability to work shiftsWorking as a Security Officer means you’ll need to commit to training and be available for work throughout the games, as you’ll play a vital role in keeping everyone safe and secure.The Ideal Candidate:Joining Team G4S as a security officer means that you’ll play a vital role in securing London 2012.Your role will be to provide a security guarding service to an allocated venue.You will work as part of a team with an experienced manager.Your duties may include:Asset protectionPatrolResponseSearch (people, bags, vehicles)CCTV and alarm monitoringX ray operatingWork will usually be on 12 hour shifts.To Appy press the "Apply Now" button
