It is a service company in the area of “flight operations services” belonging to the Lufthansa Group. The main business of Lufthansa Systems FlightNav Inc. is the production of flight navigation data and flight navigation charts for the airline industry (www.lhsystems.com).The Route Manual Chart Specialist creates and revises aeronautical instrument procedure charts.The main task is the depiction of instrument procedures in a company specific layout, usingIT tools and databases. The production processes call for a chart editing, as well as a quality assurance unit. Depending on your professional background and entry-test results, you may be eligible foreither the position of Aeronautical Chart Specialist or Quality Assurance Specialist.The Aeronautical Chart Specialist implements AIP, AMDT, NOTAM or customer issued information into our charts. Using various in-house developed IT tools, he/she shall decide on layout and user friendly depiction of the different instrument procedures, according to government issued sources.The Quality Assurance Specialist checks the produced charts for data correctness and usability in the cockpit.Using a lesser number of IT tools, his/her main focus lies on correct data, perfected chart layout and correct delivery to the customer.Your judgement on a large variety of safety sensitive issues is required every day. Since most of our charts contain in essence visualized FMS data, inter-department communication and joined problem solving are quite common. Your profile• Holder of Swiss / EU / EFTA passport• Completed training as dispatcher, air traffic controller or former pilot with experience and holding a license in one of this fields in commercial aviation or a completed academic navigation degree• Safe handling of aeronautical data and publications• Good PC knowledge• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English, other languages such as German are of advantage• Sense of duty and quality• Ability to work conscientiously and independently• Ability to work in a team• High degree of flexibility, discipline, commitment and enthusiasm and a good ability to work under time pressure• Good judgement and analytical skillsIf you enjoy working in a small, multicultural team environment and like to be challenged in your professional life, we are looking forward to receiving your application.Please press the "Apply Now" button to apply
