The Position: Performance Development (PD) drives business performance improvement projects for divisions and business units across the EK group to deliver significant business benefits by delivering process and organisational improvement strategies and projects. The job holder will be a major contributor to the success of these projects in support of the organisation?s profitable expansion. These projects will require the jobholder to exploit their industrial engineering and operations research skills and knowledge of process review and analysis, to explore news ways of analysing data, and also challenge them to develop innovative and implementable recommendations that will further improve the performance of their client departments. The job holder will also be required to advise business units on appropriate productivity norms and standards and agree Key Performance Indicators (KPI) through the application of relevant IE and Operations Research techniques. Candidates must be able to support and lead the following types of projects: Innovation : Identify and manage introduction of new methods, tools and techniques (e.g. Customer Relationship Management, Simulation, Supply Chain Management, Key Account Management) to provide innovative solutions to address process and organisational challenges Developments: Identify and implement changes necessary to successfully manage growth. (E.g. Contact Management, Sales Channel Management, Develop new Airport Services processes for new facilities, On Time Performance, Benchmarking) Improvements: Identify and manage opportunities for performance improvement with client business units and other support service departments e.g. Human Resources, Finance (E.g. Process simplification, Workflow, Budget reviews, Unit cost analysis, Continuous improvement teams, KPI (Key Performance Indicators) trending and targeting etc.) Experience and Qualifications: In order to apply for this role you must have the following: Qualifications: A Degree or Honours (12 + 3 or equivalent) Graduate in Industrial Engineering, or graduate level education in scientific/ commercial discipline. Postgraduate degree/ diploma or MBA preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 year?s experience in the fields related to processes and productivity improvement in a reputed organisation. Airline or airport services industry experience, and/or in the areas of Performance Development or Consultancy relevant to Airline Industry is preferred Knowledge/skills: Good understanding of Project Management. Business Knowledge of the units responsible for. Understand the working and critical factors for the unit. People management skills to be able to handle the diverse group of staff and conflict situations in the job situation. Technical skills Basic knowledge of Innovation techniques, programme management, customer relationship management Advanced knowledge of process improvement, organisation design, project management, business planning We are looking for someone that has the following competencies: Strong business awareness A strategic thinker. Good leadership skills. The ability to influence and negotiate. Highly organised and results focused. Adaptable to change and innovation Salary & Benefits: We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66.
