About this role
As the Product Investigation Engineer you will be required to project manage your own workload, drive and facilitate sessions to improve the systems and product, working closely with the workshops and production to lead structured fault investigations.ResponsibilitiesYou will also need to engage with design specialists in hardware, software and systems, create and implement improvement plans, to sustain our current products working closely with the Post Design Department to ensure improvements are flowed through the product family from initial design to sustainment engineering.Activities include*Managing, reviewing and responding to FRACAS information with suppliers, customers and manufacturing facilities*Working on customer improvement projects*Managing customer returns*Working closely in partnership with Post Design to Maintain technical documentation related to the system and product*Managing and reviewing maintainability and reliability data*Working with other departments to assist in implementing design improvements*Working with other departments to assist in implementing cost reduction activities*Generate technical content for corrective action reportsQualifications/Requirements*Qualification to degree level or above in an electronic or hardware discipline or qualified through demonstrated experience*Experience in working in a similar environment is required*Demonstrated ability in leading root cause corrective actions investigations.Desired Characteristics*You will be working within a multi-skilled department and will be required to be self sufficient and a team player work both alone and within this team.
