The Position: Plan and conduct individual Information System (IS) audits of the Group with a view to identifying control weaknesses, material errors and procedural deviations in IT environments and IT applications. The Audit Officer plays a critical role quantifying risks to which the Audit Centre is exposed and in making an assessment of its existing controls. Job Outline: Develop and implement detailed audit work for each scheduled IS audit, within the broad audit programme framework specified by the Manager IS Audit so that the audit objectives are achieved and the risks identified are addressed. Review status and existence of internal controls in the audit areas by conducting pre-audit discussions with line staff and through compliance rests and transactions checks. Conduct analytical reviews of IT technical, financial, commercial and operational data with a view to identifying security vulnerabilities, material errors, inconsistencies with procedures and policies, etc. Compute and analyse trends in relevant data. Collect, compile and annotate relevant and competent and audit evidence in support of audit findings. Perform reviews of contractual/reciprocal agreements in the assigned audits with a view to detecting financial loss, if any caused by misapplication or misinterpretation of such agreements and recommend appropriate changes. Perform special investigations as required from time to time in order to establish facts, either to address a client's concern or to comment on possible irregularities. Drafts the audit report and obtain initial comments on audit findings from client's line staff in order to establish the correctness of audit observations and, if possible comment on the possible impact. Conduct follow-up audits with supervisory line staff to ensure that all accepted audit recommendations have been implemented within the agreed period. Salary & Benefits: We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66. Experience and Qualifications: IT or IS Auditing 3+ Years Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) Professional qualifications in IT, IT Audit, IT Security are highly desirable. Should possess full knowledge of IS auditing techniques. Report writing and good interpersonal skills are critical. Job holder must have good analytical ability, initiative and be proactive in his/her approach in order to perform high quality audits. Advanced skill in use of Computer Assisted Audit Tools (CAAT) is essential.
