This role is to provide support for the Business's Systems Electronic Design Center Department (EDCoE) process improvement and automation initiatives. It will involve representing the department on both internal Engineering projects and on Information Management ( IM ) projects and implementing cost saving IT Business processes across the company. Essential Responsibilities: * Support process initiatives across the EDCoE under the direction of the CAD and Productivity Manager. This will include wide-ranging involvement in small and large projects run in both the UK and US. * Develop and manage plans for the EDCoE's Process Improvement Initiatives. Report on progress to EDCoE leaders. Support the metrics collation and reporting for internal and Engineering and Technology Operations Review cycles. Coordinate participation of key users and stakeholders in testing, data migration and implementation. * Coordinate participation of EDCoE representatives in IM-run projects. Ensure all parts of the Electronic Design Process are correctly captured and modelled within those projects. * Ensure core Computer Aided Design ( CAD ) and other engineering design software, applications and licences are available to EDCoE personnel from various local and global servers whilst complying with all legal, regulatory, commercial and policy requirements. * Liaise with IM Asset Management and Supply Chain colleagues over the support and maintenance requirements for bought-in and leased application and CAD software. * Maintain usage data for core engineering applications, reporting usage, predicting and resolving anomalies and contention. * Support the EDCoE's use of a suite of electronics design time/cost estimating spreadsheets and the Activity Based Management ( ABM ) tasks produced by them. Manage the evolution of these tools. * Maintain the EDCoE's Intranet / Web Community presence. Qualifications/Requirements: * An understanding of, and ability to apply, project management techniques * Experience of maintaining websites and communities. * Experience in at least one area from : programming, systems analysis, business analysis or business process analysis. * Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail. Desired Characteristics: * Electronic design. * Electronic or Mechanical CAD packages. * Business Finance processes. * Project Lifecycle Management ( PLM ), Project Data Management ( PDM ) or Enterprise Resource Planning ( ERP ) applications. * Formal project management methodologies. * IT projects. * Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience, in a science based subject.
