The Position: To independently identify flights with high and low demand, review aircraft assignment options and recommend solutions to adjust capacity on a per flight basis where seat supply is constrained. Job Purpose : Analyse individual flight performance daily, highlighting flights with high demand. Recommend aircraft re-assignments after reviewing schedule options, targeting flights with low demand, while maintaining schedule integrity. Provide schedule recovery options with minimal revenue loss in the event of major schedule disruptions. Co-ordinate efforts with SMNCs, Yield Management, and civil aviation authorities when applicable, to attain quick recovery with minimal passenger discomfort Tactically manipulate spare aircraft availability to launch extra sections catering to periods of high demand and major world events and holidays like Haj, Umrah, Nowroz, the Shopping festival, DSS, the Chinese New Year, etc. Ensure that schedule integrity is maintained and the Operating Plan is not disrupted. Influence departments like Engineering, Flight Operations, Crew Scheduling, and Yield Management, to ensure that opportunities arising from increased short-term market demand are taken. Liase with Civil Aviation authorities for slot approvals based on re-assigned aircraft deployment, extra sections and charters. Negotiate for improved slot timings when required. Supervise the schedule content of the Emirates timetable. Ensure that all connections between Emirates online points and connections to/from commercially viable offline points receive coverage including code share partners and various co-operation agreements. Plan the implementation of each charter flight. Liase internally with departments like Engineering, Airport Services, Crew Scheduling, and Catering, and externally with ground handlers, fuel suppliers, airport authorities and slot co-ordinators to ensure the successful operation of the charter. Formulate plans and agree with Engineering on the optimal method of implementing "A", "B", "C" and "D" maintenance checks on aircraft with minimal reduction of budgeted capacity on routes in the network to ensure revenue protection. Ensure that additional and charter flight schedule information distributed to MARS, OAG, CRS', GDS' is reflected accurately. Advise code-share partners of changes to schedule information affecting marketing flights. Liase with the Emirates representative posted at the aircraft manufacturers on the delivery dates of new aircraft in order to plan the early in-service activity of the new aircraft, when applicable or to reorganise the workload of existing aircraft in the event of a late aircraft delivery. Monitor fare levels on extra sections operated to ensure that yield levels are maintained and that revenue earned from these extra sections exceeds costs of operation. Qualifications 12 Years schooling or equivalent Knowledge/Skills Should have completed IATA Schedule Co-od skills course. Sound knowledge of Flight Scheduling skills and methods. Through knowledge of IATA SSIM Chapter 4 - Standard Schedules message procedure, and IATA SSIM chapter 6 - Airport Co-ordination /Advise Procedures. Excellent knowledge of IT systems like CView, Promis, Power Olap, Mars & Core. Knowledge of aircraft performance as it relates to operations at various airports. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience Commercial/Sales.Revenue Optimisation 8+ Years Salary & Benefits: We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66.
