Emirates Flight Catering is an associated company of the Emirates Group and operates the world's largest in-flight catering facility. We have two catering units at Dubai International Airport that provides meals and in-flight services to both Emirates Airline and approximately 120 other airline clients. We also operate premium airport lounges, an events division, off airport food and beverage outlets, a frozen meal manufacturing plant and the largest industrial laundry in the region. Food Point is a 10,000 square metre ready meal facility that produces 70,000 meals per day. We are an industry leader with a strong network of airline, retail and food service clients based in the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa. Our primary products are ready meals, sauces and soups. Linencraft is recognised as the largest and best industrial laundry in the Middle East. Since its commissioning in 2007, Linencraft has developed a reputation for excellence in product delivery and solutions to its customers The position holds functional responsibility for Buildings and Grounds, Manufacturing Services, Occupational Safety Health and Environment, Technical Standards, Site Security and Expansion Projects. Reporting to the Senior Vice President - Food Point and Linencraft, your responsibilities will include: To lead the operation maintenance ensuring high reliability standards and to provide the strategic direction and innovation required to underpin business growth and expansion at Food Point and Linencraft. To identify strategic initiatives that would provide further competitive advantage by increasing efficiencies, cost reduction and waste minimisation. To manage a group of engineers and technicians responsible for maintaining refrigeration, boiler and compressed air plants, PLC controlled cooking and food assembly systems as well as sophisticated computer controlled industrial washing, dry cleaning and finishing equipment. Lead the design and implementation of growth expansion projects to ensure capital expenditure returns the financial and operating performance expectations of strategic business plans. Lead the implementation of reliability work processes, such as to increase equipment/process reliability, reduce equipment failure rates and reduce time to repair. To direct and provide leadership to continuously advance safety and environmental culture and performance across all department functions to deliver reductions in all accidents and incidents. Manage and coordinate site security for Food Point and Linencraft sites to ensure all assigned facilities remain uncompromised. Accountable for preparing and presenting overall financial statistics, performance reports and action plans necessary to mitigate risk and deliver business strategic goals. Lead maintenance engineering teams to ensure business continuity at all times. Provide a culture of continuous learning and development towards best practice manufacturing and maintenance principles. Ensure all key business audits are managed effectively and actions are prepared, implemented and documented. Comply with the Company Occupational Health and Safety Policies. Experience and Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical discipline. Certification in NEBOSH or IOSH or other externally recognised qualification in workplace health and safety. Previous experience in a senior engineering role within the food or manufacturing industry. Working knowledge in automated process manufacturing and managing health and safety legislation. Proven track record of project management, facilities management and business cost modeling. Ability to organise, analyse and interpret complex data in the form of solutions to engineering problems. High standards of professional conduct with excellent communication and presentation skills. Change agent with proven ability to align common goals and contribute effectively in a team, environment. Excellent people management skills with proven experience of leading and managing a team. Salary & Benefits: Salary package will be discussed during the interview to successful candidates.
