About this role
Experienced Sheet Metal, Structural Mechanics are needed to perform C&D Maintenance Checks on Military Aircraft for our client in Waco, TX. Perfect for Military Vets Looking for Civilian Work! Overview: Perform a wide variety of moderately complex mechanical/structural removal, installation, repair and modification on aircraft. Interpret and follow engineering drawings, work instructions, assembly instructions and checks work correctness. Check, test and troubleshoot systems for conformance to specifications. Resolve installation problems. Also perform aircraft modifications per IAW military TO's, commercial maintenance manuals, and service bulletins. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: 4 years of experience as an Aviation Sheet Metal Mechanic is required. P-3 and C-130 Wide-body experience is required. Must have the ability to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, TO specs and engineering specifications. The ability to assemble close tolerance parts and use hand tools such as pneumatic drills and rivet gun is required.
