About this role

Experienced Interior Mechanics are needed to perform Maintenance and Modifications on Gulfstream's for our client in Indianapolis, IN. Overview: Remove, disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and re-install as needed of aircraft cabin furnishings such as fabric recovery, upholstery, carpet laying, cabinetry, etc. Replace Seat Tracks, Cabinets, Overhead Bins, Panels etc. Interior Aircraft Mechanics may also be responsible for Sheet Metal Repair and Modifications, along with Sheet Metal Fabrication. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: An A&P License is required. 5 years of experience as an Aviation Interior Mechanic is required. 6 of 24 months of recent experience as an Aviation Interior Mechanic is required. Must have experience on the Installation/Modification of Bombardier Global or Challenger aircraft; Gulfstream G-22, G-111 and/or G-IV; Embraer Legacy and/or CRJ. The following is desired: Experience in a FAA 145 approved repair station. Must have the ability to layout and perform complex interior reconfigurations and repairs that are addressed in specific repair manuals and engineering documents. Must have knowledge of various types of aircraft adhesives and sealants and appropriate methods of application, as well as aircraft interior fasteners and basic methods of installation and suitable substitutions Must be able to fabricate parts as required and have knowledge of composites, fabrics and other coverings and where substitutes may be used. Must be able to read and use Blue Prints, Structure Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Codes, Engineering Drawings, and Service Bulletins.
