About this role
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required* To ensure the mechanical design follows correct processes.* To assist project management in reporting of status and progress to agreed plans.* To assess design solutions against environmental requirements.* Define materials and finishes to be employed.* Creation of tolerance analysis.* Understanding and experience in implementation of general and specific techniques appropriate to design, engineering and manufacture of high reliability, low maintenance and long life systems suitable for operating in a waste management environment. * Significant experience and proven track record of CAD modelling design and the production of detailed manufacturing drawings. * The ability to comprehend customer problems (perhaps seeing beyond a customer's own understanding of their problems, perceiving fundamental issues) and to develop solutions to such problems * The ability to contribute as an individual and the ability to work effectively as part of a team * The ability to develop useful practical requirement specifications for mechanical and/or electronic devices and systems (eg component life requirements; heat sink requirements; material wear properties; etc) from awareness of overall system performance requirements (eg untended operation for a given time frame, external case temperature to meet legislation requirements; need to operate in potentially explosive atmosphere; etc)* Knowledge of thermal modelling & design, stress Analysis, fluid dynamics, installation design, and design for manufacture.
