About this role
Essential Responsibilities* Focal for defining, developing and supplying Test Equipment solutions for development programmes* Need to liaise closely with the project team and other stakeholders to ensure the through-life test equipment requirements (including series production and after market needs) are fully defined, costs and schedule are clearly understood, and major dependencies identified.* Management of assigned resources and/or selected external supplier(s) to develop the Test Equipment solution to cost and schedule.* Support and adherence to New Product Development lifecycle processes, both in terms of developing the Test Equipment, and within the larger project context of supporting development milestone reviews (Tollgates).* Must ensure Test Equipment hardware and software configurations, the calibration process, and the equipment handbook, are appropriately completed and lodged to enable formal hand-over of the finished Test Equipment to the end-customer (usually Operations Department)* Support bid and strategy definition activities for specific new business opportunities within the Avionics or Power Product Group, including cost estimating.Qualifications/Requirements* Experience of project management of electronics and computing products or test equipment in an Aerospace, or similar high integrity product environment* Ability to lead a small technical team in the delivery of test solutions to cost and schedule* Experience of supplier/sub-contract management from both a technical and a cost and schedule perspective* Experience and depth of knowledge in some aspects of hardware or software engineering; ideally in a test equipment environment* Pro-active approach to identifying and solving problems* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with the business and to present information clearly and concisely to a senior audience.
