Design Integration Engineer - Nacelles & Thrust ReverserOur Client in Berlin, Germany requires a Design Engineer to assist their engineering on an AUG contract basis. The successful candidate will have the following:A background in design and integration of complex modules. * Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, composite structures) and testing of composite structures. * Basic knowledge of airworthiness requirements and type certification process (especially Part25). * Generic knowledge of design process steps including Product Lifecycle Management and Interface Control. * Ability to create 3D design geometry inside complex geometric environments using a digital Mock-up. * CAD drafting skills (UG NX), ability to read manufacturing drawings. * Basic knowledge of Requirements Management and functional/physical Interface control.The candidate will be expected to have sufficient skills and experience to:* Support Nacelle and Thrust Reverser design and development programmes in line with customer requirements.* Define design requirements for internal and external partners.* Understand cost drivers of Nacelle concepts and develop strategies for reduced cost Nacelle and Thrust Reverser designs. * Support the power plant integration process in line with air framer requirements. * Align tasks with other Engineering areas, Purchase, Quality, or ProgrammeManagement. * Check Design Definitions raised by suppliers. * Optimise technical solutions which meet customers weight and performance expectations.Please note that candidates must currently hold the right to live and work in Germany - EU Passport holders.
