<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Our customer is a world leader in the Composite Manufacturing industry, with an extensive reach into both Civil &amp; Military aircraft markets.</p> <p>They are seeking to appoint a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with an unrivalled background in Composite materials to be based at their operation in the South West.</p> <p><b>Description</b></p> <p>Working as part of the Research &amp; Development team this is a key leadership role where you will manage R &amp; D programmes in the establishment of new and existing production processes for Composite manufacture.<br /> <br /> A key part of the role is to develop the possible usage of new materials and processes within a wide range of applications, for new and existing customer programmes. You will be the R &amp; D lead and thought leadership on a technical level to both internal and external customers.<br /> <br /> In addition your role will focus on the management and delivery of technical programme tasks through multi-disciplined teams, with a strong emphasis on material and process, development, continuous improvement and LEAN enterprise. <br /> <br /> With exceptional expertise in the Aerostructures industry, including leading edge material and process development knowledge, you must be an experienced senior engineering process specialist, who can demonstrate a good level of technical application in the composites field.</p> <p><b>Experience &amp; Skills</b></p> <p>Holding a materials related qualification to PhD or MSc level and with a strong engineering background, you should also be used to working in a project environment and have excellent people management, leadership and motivational skills. <br /> <br /> The breadth and influence of this role requires someone high in intellect, able to juggle abstract and practical concepts in tandem and the ability to engage with and influence stakeholders from suppliers through customers, internal partners and regulatory authorities. </p> <p><b>Additional Skills</b></p> <p>Use of CATIA V4 or V5 surfacing and solid modelling design packages</p> <p>Use of NC packages</p> <p>Use of any software package for numerical simulation of processes</p> <p>Use of any software package related to design for manufacturing with composite materials</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>A highly competitive annual salary will be awarded to the successful applicant.</p> <p>A full job description is available for review.</p> <p>Contact Simon Portway for full details.<br /> <br /> Please press the &quot;Apply Now&quot; button to apply</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <i>Only candidates with the right to live and work in the EU will be considered. </i></p> <p><i>Regrettably only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.</i></p>
