<img src="http://counter.adcourier.com/ZnJhbmNlc2Nha2Vlbi4xODUzOS40MjRAZWxhbml0LmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif" /><br />Mechanical/ Electro-Mechanical/Landing-Gear Engineer (Hydraulic Systems, Actuations, Hydro-mechanical, Motors) will be responsible for developing designs, tests, and certification efforts for aircraft landing gear systems and components. In this role, you will take full ownership of a particular element of a landing gear program, controlling cost and delivery schedule, and reporting progress to senior leaders. You will have the opportunity to see tangible results from your work and will take a leadership role within the systems group <br /> <br />Essential Responsibilities: <br />*Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards and product / program requirements <br />*Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project <br />*Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures <br />*Provide timely communications to leadership giving progress updates <br />*Play a co-ordination role in the assigned landing gear system related program, drawing in resources from other areas and influencing all associated with the program to achieve success <br />*Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews <br />*Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures <br />*Establish yourself as the Landing Gear Systems technical interface and liaison with multiple airframe customers and component suppliers <br />*Compose proposals and negotiate requirements for landing gear systems from actuation to fully dressed applications. <br /> <br />Qualifications/Requirements: <br />*Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or relevant alternative level of qualification <br />*Minimum of 5 years related Aerospace experience <br />*Experience in Aircraft Landing Gear Actuation, Structures, Controls, and associated Systems as well as working knowledge of Aircraft Hydraulic Systems. <br />*Experience in Aircraft Certification Standards both international and domestic. <br />*Demonstrated experience leading landing gear NPI programs <br />*Experienced with all aspects of landing gear systems, including design, test, certification and revenue service support <br />*Ability to conceptualize landing gear systems architecture and communicate objectives to business development teams <br />*Ability to communicate complex technical information to internal and external customers <br />*Ability to act as a technical leader, sharing and developing knowledge across the team <br /> <br />Benefits Include: <br />*Good Opportunities for Career Development, Regular Reviews and Career Planning. <br />*Share Option Scheme <br />*Flexible Benefits <br />*Good Location and Working Environment. <br /> <br />Successful applicants will be required to obtain UK MOD security clearance prior to appointment.
