They demonstrate independence & sound technical judgment to execute on assignments, identifying problems and formulate solutions <br />The Senior Software Engineer takes an innovative approach to problem solving and shares technical knowledge with others in the group, team and across the organization. <br /> <br />Responsibilities: <br />*Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures and product / program requirements <br />*Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project <br />*Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures <br />*Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments <br />*Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues <br />*Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews <br />* Assure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures <br /> <br />Requirements: <br />*Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent level of knowledge or experience <br />*Experience of software design lifecycle within Aerospace or similar controlled industry <br />*Experience of design and implementation of real-time embedded software <br />*Experience of Software C, C++, Assembler or ADA <br />*Experience with target hardware (C167, C269, PowerPC, Coldfire, PIC Microcontroller, TMS320) <br /> <br />Desired Characteristics: <br />*Experience of Model Based Development using MATLAB / Simulink / Stateflow <br />*Experience developing to RTCA DO-178B / EUROCAE ED-12B <br />*Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems <br />*Good oral and written communication skills <br />*Good problem solving and solution building skills <br />*Demonstrable success achieving and exceeding internal and external (customer) milestones <br /> <br />Benefits Include: <br />*Good Opportunities for Career Development, Regular Reviews and Career Planning. <br />*Excellent Relocation Package. <br />*Share Option Scheme <br />*Flexible Benefits <br />*Good Location and Working Environment. <br /> <br />Successful applicants will be required to obtain UK MOD security clearance prior to appointment. <br /> <br />
