<p>Planning and Configuration Control Engineer</p> <p>Hounslow, UK</p> <p>Competitive Salary</p> <p>Boeings GoldCare aircraft maintenance product was enhanced in 2010 with an EASA Sub Part M Approval for its European market. The UK based Sub Part M team is now being expanded to take on more activity as the GoldCare portfolio grows in Europe.</p> <p> </p> <p>Several new UK positions have been created to establish a Technical Support Group to manage the front end Part M airworthiness management activity that is aligned with and close to European GoldCare customers.</p> <p>The new roles offer an exciting opportunity to be part of a team working on Boeings newest airplane, the 787, in addition to the GoldCare aircraft maintenance product. As part of this growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning and Configuration Control Engineer to work directly with airline customers, Maintenance and Repair Organisations (MROs) and regulatory authorities to ensure that GoldCare processes and procedures are understood and properly implemented.</p> <p> In addition, ensure that aircraft maintenance is carried out in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance Programme and all maintenance requirements are performed, therefore ensuring continued airworthiness of customer fleet. Also ensure that all maintenance records are retained and preserved as required by regulatory requirements.</p> <p>Activities will include:</p> <p>· Develop and maintain aircraft maintenance forecasts and schedules.</p> <p>· Create and issue line and base maintenance work packages and ensure parts and materials are scheduled.</p> <p>· Reconcile maintenance plans to accommodate airline customer operational events.</p> <p>· Monitor deferred Minimum Equipment List and Configuration Deviation List (MEL/CDL) and unscheduled maintenance items.</p> <p>· Coordinate operator recovery plans for operational disruptions due to scheduled maintenance activities and develop alternative maintenance plans.</p> <p>· Validate configuration control activities data recording, storage and retention ensuring compliance with requirements.</p> <p>· Develop and enhance processes and procedures to ensure and improve customer aircraft availability and system reliability.</p> <p>You should be, or be able to, demonstrate the following competencies:</p> <p>· Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings, develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources internally, or with clients, customers and/or suppliers.</p> <p>· Configuration & Data Management: Complete knowledge of drawing/data systems (e.g., ""used on"" drawings, part relationships, product data management) and configuration management principles and processes (e.g., part number control, revision level, naming conventions, product identification numbering systems).</p> <p>· Customer Focus: Makes customers and their needs a primary focus. Responds quickly to meet customer needs and resolve problems; assists other team members in implementing ways to monitor and evaluate customer concerns, issues, and satisfaction and to anticipate customer needs.</p> <p>· Interpreting Engineering Data: Extensive, specialized knowledge of engineering data (e.g., blueprints, data sets, specifications, logic diagrams, electrical circuit schematics) to interpret, analyze, and develop data for support requirements.</p> <p>· Product Maintenance: Extensive and specialized knowledge of customer aircraft maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices (e.g., return/release to service, normal duties/responsibilities, time constraints, available resources) in order to effectively represent the customer within the Company</p> <p>· Technical Aircraft Maintenance: Extensive and specialized knowledge of customer aircraft maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices (e.g., return to service, normal duties/responsibilities, time constraints, available resources) in order to effectively represent the customer within the company.</p> <p>Basic Qualifications for Consideration: Do you have current legal authorisation to work in the UK?</p> <p>Typical Education/Experience: </p> <p>Licensed Aircraft Engineer or Graduate engineer or acceptable equivalent. The successful candidate will bring airline maintenance operation; line and base maintenance planning experience to the UK GoldCare team. Must have a working knowledge and understanding of commercial airline maintenance and engineering operations. Must be knowledgeable of industry and regulatory agency requirements as applicable to the operation and support of transport category aircraft.
