Discover your future! <b> <br /> <br />The Position: </b>Manage Destination Management Companies (DMCs), hotels and ground service providers within a sub-region or country. Lobby, negotiate and obtain competitive rates, allocations, release periods and destination/product information in order for EK Holidays to meet its customer needs and in line with the departmental standards and EKH growth strategy. Actively participate in the brochure, price guide or tactical offer briefings and launches, as a destination/product specialist, to ensure that inclusions are available, information published is accurate and selling prices of land product competitive. Identify new hotels or tourism products in the destination that will add to the commercial value, fit into the Emirates Holidays product line, match source market needs or trends. Provide recommendations for inclusions of products into the brochures or for placement on the database. <br /> <br /><b>Salary & Benefits: </b>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66. By viewing the 'Dubai Lifestyle' section in the site you can also consider the benefits of Dubai as a location to live and work in. <br /> <br /> <br /><b>Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Knowledge: <br /></b> </p><ul> <li> Degree with Honours in Travel & Tourism or Business Studies. </li><li> 5 yrs in the tourism industry with minimum of 3 years in contracting. </li><li> Proven ability to exercise keen commercial judgement and decision making in the selection, negotiating and contracting of tour operator or hotel services. </li><li> Must possess an excellent knowledge of Geography and clear understanding of the tourism industry and tour operations. </li><li> Superior written and oral skills in English (other languages an advantage, based on region assigned). </li><li> Capability of consistently meeting production and commercial deadlines. </li><li> International job relevant industry contact network. <br /> <br /> <br /><b>To Apply: </b>To express your interest in the above vacancy please apply on-line by clicking below, and complete our application form.
