<p>We are looking for a Environmental Protection Rulemaking Officer for administrative support for a growing aviation agency in Cologne.Since 1997 the Bishop GmbH has been successful in the procurement of first class personnel for the aviation sector. From the engineering and development of Airbus aircraft to administration and management positions in the aviation industry; we have at our disposal a great pool of qualified and motivated personnel.Job Title • Environmental Protection Rulemaking OfficerDeveloping and maintaining European requirements on aviation environmental protection in particular related to aircraft noise;Participating in, contributing to, and reporting on relevant ICAO groups and activities; Providing assistance to the European Commission in fulfilling its tasks in the field; Providing interpretation and assistance to the Agency and national and industry experts with respect to European requirements in the field; Maintaining links with all relevant stakeholders involved; Participating in, and reporting on, environmental rulemaking groups, meetings, conferences, workshops and related activities; Providing support to the International Cooperation department on environmental issues related to international agreements and arrangements; Establishing and managing contracts with external consultants to ensure the necessary expertise is available to the Agency to address the rulemaking programme; Participating in standardisation activities between EU Member States on aviation environmental protection requirements; Exchanging best practices, cooperating and coordinating with other aviation regulators; Contributing to maintaining the reputation of the Agency as a world leading regulator in the field of environmental protection. B. SPECIFIC COMPETENCES AND SKILLSminimum of six years professional experience in a the field of the duties as outlined in the job content;Technical expertise in aviation environmental protection regulations for aircraft source noise as shown by professional experience and /or complementary study; Very good knowledge of the community rules and of the present international framework and standards for aviation environmental protection for aircraft noise as shown by professional experience and/or complementary study; Good understanding of the respective roles of the Agency, its partners and interlocutors as shown by professional experience and/or complementary study; Ability to investigate and reach justified conclusions to an accomplished level; Ability to summarise complex situations; Good communication skills including the ability to produce high quality written material and presentations for a variety of audiences; Good command of both written and spoken English; Good command of Microsoft Office.
