About this role
<p>Aeropeople have an immediate requirement for Mechanical Design Engineers in the Devon area for our prestigious client.</p> <p> </p> <p><b><u>Key Responsibilities </u></b></p> <p> </p> <p>« Component and assembly design from concept to production in an automotive environment using 3D CAD (Solid Works).</p> <p>« Produce designs to meet the agreed requirements to time and within hours specified.</p> <p>« Maintain accurate design records and maintain drawing issue control.</p> <p>« Use the PDM system to store and issue drawings.</p> <p>« Revise or amend existing designs and drawings to meet new requirements.</p> <p>« Work with the Project Engineer and other team members to provide the best output.</p> <p>« Liaise with suppliers in order to source new components.</p> <p>« Assess prototypes for correct fit and function.</p> <p>« Material selection.</p> <p>« Assess the strength of components using hand calculations.</p> <p>« Prepare documentation for design reviews</p> <p> </p> <p><b><u>Skills Required</u></b></p> <p> </p> <p>· 3D Cad skills with Solid Works.</p> <p>· Engineering draughting experience for detail components and assemblies.</p> <p>· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.</p> <p>· A good communication skill (verbal and written) at all levels including suppliers and customers.</p> <p>· Generally computer literate.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><b><u>Qualifications</u></b></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>· Minimum of HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related discipline.</p> <p>· Demonstrable experience in automotive structures, systems and components.</p> <p>· Demonstrable experience in disciplines related to anticipated project.</p> <p> </p> <p>Please send updated CV’s to</p> <p> <a href="mailto:luke.farrow@aeropeople.com">luke.farrow@aeropeople.com</a></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>· Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted</p> <p>· Only candidates with the right to live and work in the UK can apply</p> <p> </p>
