<p><strong>Flight Safety Manager (Aviation / Aerospace)</strong><br /> <br /> Thomas Cook Airlines is one of the largest charter airlines in the UK, and operates globally a mixed fleet of over 35 Boeing and Airbus aircraft. They have bases at 11 airports nationwide. In their summer season, they have a team of over 500 pilots, 1500 cabin crew and 450 engineers. Thomas Cook Airlines forms part of the UK & Ireland division of the Thomas Cook group.<br /> <br /> <strong>Position:</strong> Flight Safety Manager<br /> <strong>Location:</strong> Manchester Airport<br /> <strong>Salary:</strong> £45-50k plus benefits dependant on experience<br /> <br /> <strong>ROLE: </strong><br /> The role of the Flight Safety Manager is to ensure their Airline senior management remains cognisant of safety information affecting the airline, and ensure high risk items are quickly identified and escalated accordingly.<br /> <br /> <strong>RESPONSIBILITIES: </strong><br /> a) You will support the safety management processes<br /> b) You will be responsible for the promotion of a pro-active safety culture within the airline, working with responsible managers to ensure safety remains the top priority that underpins the business activity.<br /> <br /> <strong>ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:</strong><a name="_GoBack"></a><br /> a) You will need to come from an Operational Civil Aviation background with a sound understanding of safety culture and safety management principles.<br /> b) Previous management experience.<br /> C) Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to distil and present safety data from a wide range of sources to a senior audience. <br /> <br /> DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:<br /> a) Experience in an aviation safety role, particularly if you have an Accident Investigation Qualification would be an advantage.<br /> <br /> You may have experience of the following: Flight Safety Manager, Pilot, Captain, Flight Inspector, Safety Manager, Aviation Safety Investigator, Accident Investigation, Flight Manager, Incident Investigator, Aviation Safety Auditor, Risk Assessment, Airline Health & Safety, Aviation Safety Manager, Airline Security, AAIB, etc. <br /> <br /> This vacancy is being advertised by EasyWebRecruitment.com, the UK’s leading Flat Fee Recruitment Agency.
