Discover your future!<b> <br /> <br />The Position:</b> <br />Monitor and control all maintenance activities in GSE as directed by the relevant Line Manager. <br />Ensures that all equipments, machineries and vehicles of Dnata/EK and Other Airlines are fully operational and reliable. <br />Ensure compliance to safe practices and promote safety awareness amongst the staff. <br /> <br /><b>Job Outline <br /></b> </p><ul> <li>Monitor and control all maintenance activities in GSE to ensure that the maintenance work and repairs are performed as per the manufacturer's recommendations/standards and ensures the provision of a support operation to meet the 24 / 7 needs of the various DN Airport Operation sections, EK engineering, EK Sky Cargo, other airlines and companies utilizing the services of GSE. </li><li>Periodically inspect and audit the work carried out to ensure it meets the standards required, relevant ISO and safety procedures and to resolve any operational issues. </li><li>Ensure that serviceability tests and quality checks are carried out after completion of maintenance work, in order to certify the equipment suitable for use by operations. This will include but not limited to (snag rectifications, modifications, engine and transmission overhaul, control, electronic, electrical and hydraulic system repairs). </li><li>Manage and lead the GSE maintenance team, with respect to safety compliance, work performance, staff training and development. </li><li>Continually improve the operational efficiency and recommend processes to eliminate repetitive breakdowns or failures thus ensuring maximum serviceability of the equipment plant, machineries and vehicles. </li><li>Identify and agree in conjunction with the GSE Material Planning Controller and the P & L Technical Stores supervisory staff the spare parts, materials and consumables requirements. Where necessary and possible have manufactured obsolete spare parts in order to keep equipment plant, machineries and vehicles operational. </li><li>Support the relevant Line Manager during the preparation of annual budget by accurately forecasting resource requirements to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. </li><li>Ensures optimal utilization of the Maintenance Management System and other systems and procedures put in place and provide periodic feedback to the relevant Line Manager. </li><li>Engage in projects/specialised tasks as directed by the relevant line manager. <br /> <br /><b>Salary & Benefits:</b>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66.
