The BSG team is responsible for delivering the strategic IT objectives of Dnata Travel Services in close co-ordination with the Emirates Group ITdepartment. The Team comprises of Subject Matter / Functional Experts who work closely with the respective Line Departments in DTS to identify operational inefficiencies and business opportunities that can be addressed, in part or fully, through innovative software solutions and business processimprovements, thereby setting the stage for CI (Continuous Improvement) and Increased Productivity. </p><p>The Team has been tasked with delivering key projects in the coming years that will see DTS strengthen its Technology edge, thus providing its Customers with an even better Service Experience. </p><p> </p><p><b>The Position:</b><b> </b>You will be instrumental in promoting efficiency in operations through process improvement and automation within the Travel Agency Distribution Systems/Selling Platform. Using your working knowledge of the Global Distribution Systems (Sabre, Galileo, Amadeus, etc), you will undertake the responsibility for providing functional specifications to the IT team for identified system improvements. This role will also involve liaison between various internal business units (IT, Finance) and external parties like GDS, Low Cost Carriers, Online Suppliers, etc for establishing Interfaces. </p><p>In addition to this, you will manage the preparation of test plans for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), perform the testing, report the deviations through proper documentation and ensure the delivery of the system as per the specifications. Preparation of necessary User training plans for the planned launch of the systems and setting up procedures for identifying the users and their training requirements on an ongoing basis will also be part of your role. </p><p><b>Salary & Benefits:</b>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66. By viewing the 'Dubai Lifestyle' section in the site you can also consider the benefits of Dubai as a location to live and work in. <br /> <br /><b>Experience and Qualifications:</b> <br /> </p><ul> <li>Minimum graduate degree </li><li>5 years' experience in a Travel Agency, with at least a minimum of 3 years in Travel Agency Operations improvement or Systems automation </li><li>Working knowledge of the leading Global Distribution Systems (Sabre, Galileo, Amadeus, etc) </li><li>Excellent Project Management, Time Management and interpersonal skills </li><li>Excellent command of written and spoken English, proficient in MS Office applications </li><li>Experience in system design and/or implementation from a customer perspective </li><li>Project Management certification (eg: PMP) would be an added advantage </li> </ul> <p> </p><p><b>To Apply:</b>To express your interest in the above vacancy please apply on-line by clicking below, and complete our application form.
