<img src="http://counter.adcourier.com/ZnJhbmNlc2Nha2Vlbi4zMTA0OC40MjRAZWxhbml0LmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif" /><br />Senior Software Engineer/Programmer/Developer (C, Ada, C++, Embedded Real-Time, D0178-B) opportunities have arisen to be part of a team developing a new display system for a new aircraft. <br /> <br />In this role, you will be responsible for design & development of real-time embedded software for a display system within an integrated team environment. You will demonstrate independence and sound technical judgment to execute assignments, take an innovative approach to problem-solving and share technical knowledge with others in the team and across the organisation. <br /> <br />Essential Responsibilities: <br />* Develop Software Requirements, Design, Implementation and Verification using sound engineering principles, adhering to business standards, practices, procedures and product / program requirements <br />* Take responsibility for major subsystems of the software design <br />* Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures <br />* Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments <br />* Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews <br />* Assure documentation of technical data is generated to a high standard for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures <br />* Develop and validate systems requirements for a complex aerospace displays system using Model Based Development techniques. <br /> <br />Qualifications/Requirements: <br />* Experience of design and implementation of real-time embedded software <br />* Experience of software design lifecycle within Aerospace, Automotive or similar controlled industry <br />* Experience developing to RTCA DO-178B / EUROCAE ED-12B or similar safety critical standard <br />* Experience of Software Development using C, C++, Assembler or ADA <br />* Strong technical aptitude <br />* Good oral and written communication skills <br />* Work effectively in a large team <br />* Good problem solving and solution building skills <br />* Willingness and motivation to learn new processes and tools <br />* Degree or equivalent level of knowledge or experience <br />Desired Characteristics: <br /> <br />* Demonstrable success achieving and exceeding internal and external (customer) milestones <br />* Experience of design and implementation of real-time embedded software for an avionics displays product <br />* Experience of developing software for an A661 displays system <br />* Experience of developing applications on a real time operating system (preferably ARINC 653 compliant) <br />* Experience of developing systems requirements for a avionics displays system <br />* Experience of a Graphical Modelling Language with Simulation (e.g. Matlab / Simulink / Stateflow, Statemate, SCADE, VAPS/SCADE Display) <br /> <br />Benefits: <br /> <br />* Good opportunities for career development, regular reviews and career planning. <br />* Excellent Relocation Package. <br />* Share Option Scheme <br />* Good location and working environment. <br /> <br /> <br />Successful applicants will be required to obtain UK MOD security clearance prior to appointment. <br />
