In this role you will liaise with customers to understand their test requirements and design and implement software components to allow their requirements to be met. You will have the ability to effect short-term and some longer-term business goals. <br /> <br />Essential Responsibilities: <br />* Analyze requirements to produce designs, implement and test software in C++, adhering to business standards, practices and procedures <br />* Work closely with customers to ensure application development meets their requirements, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction <br />* Work closely with other engineering teams, partners and vendors to ensure inter-operability and reuse <br />* Participate actively in design and code reviews <br />* Drive performance and reliability enhancements <br /> <br />Qualifications/Requirements: <br />* Degree from an accredited university or college in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar level of knowledge and experience. <br />* Significant experience of software development using C++ <br />* Experience of software quality control and quality assurance processes <br />* Willingness and motivation to learn new processes and tools <br />* Strong oral and written communication skills <br />* Strong interpersonal skills <br /> <br />Desired Characteristics: <br />* Embarcadero C++ Builder and Microsoft Visual Studio <br />* C#, WPF, .NET and Visual Basic <br />* Dimensions <br />* Willingness to provide technical mentoring for more junior software engineers <br />* Experience of technical discussions with customers to identify requirements and specifications <br />* Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles <br /> <br />Benefits Include: <br />* Good Opportunities for Career Development, Regular Reviews and Career Planning. <br />* Excellent Relocation Package. <br />* Share Option Scheme <br />* Flexible Benefits <br />* Good Location and Working Environment. <br /> <br />Successful applicants will be required to obtain UK MOD security clearance prior to appointment. <br />
