Opportunities have arisen for Avionic Systems Engineers, these positions are required to meet increased demand for systems engineering activity on existing and new projects. In this role you will utilise your experience and expertise to solve systems engineering problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals within the aviation industry. This role is ideally suited for someone who has recently graduated. <br /> <br />Responsibilities: <br />* Capturing, understanding and documenting the customer's system requirements <br />* Creating system designs which specify control, display, monitoring and built in test functions for implementation in electronic hardware and software <br />* Creating and performing systems tests <br />You may also be required to: <br />* Design avionic systems architectures in co-operation with aircraft manufacturers <br />* Create model-based designs using state-of-the-art computer aided systems and software engineering tools <br />* Perform avionic system analysis, modelling and simulation <br />* Perform system safety analysis, including hazard assessment and fault tree analysis <br />* Develop requirements for systems test facilities <br />* Define aircraft installation requirements for avionics <br /> <br />Key Requirements: <br />* Previous experience in an avionic, automotive or similar embedded systems development environment. <br />* Knowledge of creating avionic system designs, for implementation in hardware and software. <br />* Knowledge of creating and performing systems tests. <br />* An understanding of embedded software and / or hardware engineering. <br />* Experience of the systems design lifecycle within aerospace or a similar industry <br /> <br />Desired Characteristics: <br />* Use of requirements management tools e.g. DOORS <br />* Use of system design and modelling tools, e.g. MATLAB Simulink, SCADE, VAPS, Artisan OOA. <br />* Knowledge of avionic systems including one or more of the following: Electrical Power Management Systems, Electronic Displays, Data Concentrators, Landing Gear Control Systems, Fuel Gauging Systems. <br />* An appropriate degree or HND in Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Physics or similar subject, or equivalent experience. <br />* A positive attitude, initiative, pro-activeness and an enthusiasm and passion for systems engineering. <br />* Good written and verbal communication skills. <br />* Proven ability to contribute in a team environment. <br />* Good problem solving and solution building skills. <br />* Demonstrable success in achieving and exceeding internal customer milestones. <br /> <br />Benefits Include: <br />*Pension Scheme. <br />*Excellent Relocation Package. <br />*Share Option Scheme <br />*Good location and working environment. <br />*Good opportunities for career development, regular reviews and career planning. <br /> <br />Successful applicants will be required to undergo security clearance prior to appointment. <br /> <br />
