<img src="http://counter.adcourier.com/ZnJhbmNlc2Nha2Vlbi40Njk1Ny40MjRAZXhwZXJpc3VrLmFwbGl0cmFrLmNvbQ.gif" /><br /><p>Design a high speed microcontroller circuit with: serial ADC interfaces; Ethernet interface and large memory buffer to the specified functional and performance requirements.</p> <p>Program the PIC microcontroller for design proving and production test routines.</p> <p>Liaise with the Software Engineer to agree the use of in-built peripheral devices and functions.</p> <p>Design for low power consumption and low emitted and conducted noise.</p> <p>Design in Built-in-Test, monitoring and switching functions</p> <p>Produce a full manufacturing drawing pack</p> <p>Produce an interface control document for the benefit of the firmware design (defining the available functionality and specifying special to type registers, register and memory maps)</p> <p>Manage the PEC design and manufacture</p> <p>Liaise with other team members to establish board size, shape and connector positions</p> <p>Prove the design through thorough testing</p> <p>Provide an assurance of quality, robustness and reliability</p> <p>Design the shore side data interface</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Competence, skills and experience:</strong></p> <p><strong>Essential:</strong></p> <p>High speed microcontroller circuit design</p> <p>Significant experience in designs using PIC</p> <p>Use of CAD packages for circuit schematic and electro-mechanical documentation</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p> <p>Able to work with a minimum level of management</p> <p>Good standard of documentation</p> <p>Attention to detail</p> <p>Used to working to set timescale and budget</p> <p>Able to procure components</p> <p>Able to obtain quotes and oversee PCB assembly</p> <p>Able to manage and oversee production manufacture</p> <p>Able to produce test specifications</p> <p>Able to design and produce production test fixtures</p> <p>Able to test production units</p> <p>Able to undertake configuration management and quality assurance</p> <p> </p>
