Fluid Mechanical Systems Engineer

<p>Atkins Aerospace is a progressive and rapidly expanding part of the Atkins group of businesses. We provide high end technical and project management services to the prime aerospace companies. We are a strategic supplier to both Airbus and Rolls-Royce and, and as such we are involved in some of the most challenging and exciting aerospace projects in the world including the A350XWB and A400M aircraft programmes. An experienced Fluid Mechanical/Mechanical engineer is required to join a growing Aerospace Systems Team working for blue chip clients within the aerospace Industry. The team is engaged in the design, integration and testing of fuel systems for large commercial and military aircraft including air to air refuelling. The role will cover a range of activities including the layout and sizing of fluid mechanical components and the integration and testing of fluid mechanical systems. The post will be based in Bristol, but may require some travel to client sites including overseas locations. It offers a competitive salary with good career progression and the opportunity to undertake leadership responsibility. The requirements Good degree, or equivalent, in an Engineering subject (preferred disciplines are Aeronautical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering). You will be able to demonstrate experience in several of the following areas: Understanding of systems engineering principles Understanding and working with FLOWMASTER Requirements specification and validation Design and Test of System Interfaces Writing test specifications, test execution and test analysis Experience of working in a fluid mechanical development environment Ability to apply fluid mechanical knowledge to fuel systems.
