<p>Our customer is a world leader in the manufacture of composite & metallic components that supply to and offer a full range of aftercare services & products to the aerospace, automotive, space and defence markets.</p> <p>They are seeking to appoint a Technology Cluster Leader to be based at their operation on the Isle of Wight.</p> <p align="center"><b>Description </b></p> <p>Reporting to the VP Technology, you’ll act as the Lead Technologist for either of our composites, metallic’s, assembly or automation work streams, as applied to both airframe and engine structures. Responsible for defining the strategic vision for our developing key technologies and product applications in support of our long term goals, this will involve gathering input from all stakeholders, as well as organising and mobilising the technical research and technology (R&T) fraternity to establish the best way forward in all areas of material and process. Critically you will be the lead technical authority in constructing the content of future R & T activities and in conducting internal reviews and current programmes of work. As an experienced industry specialist and professionally qualified composites, metallic’s or process technologist, you must have the necessary technical expertise and commercial know-how to influence your peers and senior managers on an internal and external basis. Capable of growing our technology portfolio and playing an instrumental role in maintaining our position as a leader in technology for future aerospace products, you should also demonstrate excellent communication and relationship skills.
