From holidays of romance and discovery, to the logistics of getting people wherever their work demands — we make plans that fit yours.</p> <p> </p> <p>As the fourth largest travel management company in the world, we manage everything from business and incentive travel and worldwide tour operations - covering leisure, sports and active holidays–through to hotel sales and marketing representation, offshore and marine services, and government and corporate services.</p> <p><b>The Position:</b> <br /> <br /> In this role you will be responsible for planning and managing the operation and expansion of dnata's GSA airline business in UAE to ensure achievement of market share, revenue & contribution targets through dynamic management & representation of GSA airlines. <br /> <br /> <br /> <b>Job Outline </b></p> <p>In this role you will be required to:</p> <ul> <li>Implement the business strategy and related policies for the GSA department, whilst ensuring maximum profitability and productivity. Liaise with the Airline Principals to develop, manage and implement their marketing plan in line with dnata's overall air strategy.</li> <li>Monitor and be aware of all changing market situations, and continuously adapt the business strategy to meet the environmental conditions and challenges of the future. To track competitor activity and recommend changes in processes, systems, strategy for business growth to address these needs.</li> <li>Manage operations of the GSA Airlines across dnata Travel Centre, EGTC as well as all GSA Airline offices to ensure that the sales targets are met.</li> <li>To train, motivate and develop the staff to ensure efficient achievement of the departmental objectives and increasing profitability.</li> <li>Manage the overall annual budget for GSAs with respect to sales, manpower and overall costs. Identify the profitability for each Airline, and work to maximise overall profitability of the department. Continuously seek improvements in business processes, systems and technology in order to ensure that business targets are achieved in the most productive manner.</li> <li>Maintain a constant proactive approach with external relationships, namely GSA relationships, and maintain an up to date view of contractual obligations and status. Ensure timely distribution of information to stake holders: GSA Principals, relevant line departments and Key Account Managers in case of any changes in policy, procedures and products, which may affect SLAs.</li> <li>Maintain effective working relationships with internal departments and ensure through service level agreements that departmental needs are effectively met. Maintain day-to-day co-ordination with GSA Principals.</li> <li>Set and maintain product and customer service standards in order to meet industry requirements while supporting any company or principal related objectives.</li> <li>Define, manage and implement Service Level Agreements with the GSA Principals, by conducting regular sales and service performance audits to ensure compliance. Seeks regular feedback from the Customer Airline and initiate measures for service recovery/enhancements.</li> <li>Analyses existing GSA contracts/agreements with the principals and seek opportunities for increasing revenue by negotiating on going revenue and cost management initiatives.</li> </ul> <p><b>In order to apply for this role you must have the following: </b></p> <p><b>Qualifications </b></p> <ul> <li>Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a business related discipline.</li> </ul> <p><b>Experience </b></p> <ul> <li>8 years experience at a senior management capacity of a travel based organisation, with expertise in managing GSA travel trade related business and Customer Service Relationship Management.</li> </ul> <p><b>Knowledge/skills </b></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of IATA regulations, airline, policies and procedures together with documentation and accounting requirements.</li> <li>Familiarity with the Gulf travel business environment is desirable to understand customer needs and supplier capability.</li> </ul> <p><b>Salary & Benefits:</b></p> <p>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund and it has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1="Dh3.66."
