Discover your future!<b> </b></li> </ul> <p><b>The Position:</b>To deliver Revenue Accounting processes and services to Mercator Revenue Accounting Services (MRAS) customers within agreed Service Level Commitments (SLC's), optimal costs and in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), whilst ensuring continued client satisfaction and retention, generating external revenues for the Group. </p><p> </p><ul> <li>Mercator, part of the Emirates Group, comprising Emirates Airline, dnata and their subsidiary companies, is a provider of business technology solutions and servicesto the global airline industry. </li><li>Mercator's teams of IT professionalsand airline specialists work at the cutting-edge of technology to deliver to its customers across the globe the ITsolutions to help grow their businesses. For more information, visit: www.mercator.com . </li> </ul> <p> <br /> <br /> </p><ul> <li>To actively participate in business development activities, in collaboration with Mercator, to source new MRAS clients and grow the MRAS business. </li><li>Plan and implement (over a 1-3 year timescale) the appropriate framework of policy, process, controls and resources to deliver on going high quality Revenue Accounting services to all MRAS customers. </li><li>Deliver the MRAS growth and business development strategy by working with the Mercator team to source new airlines for MRAS, based on targets set by VP-Revenue Accounts and VP-Sales and Market Development. Participate in Mercator pre-sales presentations to illustrate the unique selling points of the service. Provide competitive processing figures (cost per coupon) to Mercator Sales & Marketing for pricing quotations to prospective clients. </li><li>Utilise IATA networking opportunities to source leads in relation to new business opportunities in un-tapped revenue accounting service areas like fare audit, credit card billing and reconciliation, fare filing, Management Information System (MIS) related support etc to constantly try and expand the offered MRAS (for current and potential new airline clients). </li><li>To participate in the contract negotiation process and establish and agree deliverables and SLC's with the customer, manage the process of the identification of external service providers (where MRAS are sub contracted) and manage service quality levels of these providers in line with the agreed standards. </li><li>To establish and manage MRAS processing teams to provide Revenue Accounting services in accordance with the customer contracts/SLC's, including setting staffing levels. Develop annual budgets in line with the strategy and key KPI's, monitoring employment costs and productivity levels within the various MRAS teams to drive efficiency and productivity enhancements. </li><li>Implement effective controls in the revenue process for all airline revenue units, as defined by the Revenue Control unit, to mitigate any processing and financial risk. Collaborate with the Manager Revenue Control to develop controls in a cost effective manner which would improve quality, benefit the client and achieve SLC's. </li><li>Anticipate and plan all future Revenue Accounting System (currently RAPID) enhancements and policies (additions and amendments) required in revenue accounting processes. This will involve keeping abreast of industry trends, anticipating changes, evaluating development needs and the impact such changes will have on the airline revenue units. In partnership with the Revenue Accounting Shared Services Manager, formulate, identify and evaluate revenue accounting issues and prepare policy recommendations to senior management for value added changes to the processes. </li><li>Develop, establish and negotiate internal service level agreements with the Revenue Accounting Shared Services unit to ensure that Reference Data and Imaging and Administration solutions are being delivered in a cost effective manner to the airline revenue units. Collaborate with the Revenue Accounting Shared Services unit to look for new ways and means to reduce the shared services cost to the airline revenue units. </li><li>Periodically benchmark MRAS practices and processes with other airlines/Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies in the market, to constantly keep improving the processes and the unit cost at which the processing is delivered, to achieve or exceed profit targets for each MRAS client. </li><li>Coordinate the Performance Management (PM!) process for staff across the section, ensuring quality and timely completion of PM! reviews and actioning of development plans for the full team.
