From holidays of romance and discovery, to the logistics of getting people wherever their work demands - we make plans that fit yours. </p><p> </p><p>dnata Travel manages everything from business and incentive travel and worldwide tour operations - covering leisure, sports and active holidays-through to hotel sales and marketing representation, offshore and marine services, and government and corporate services. </p><p><b>The Position:</b> </p><p>The main focus of the role is to manage the relationship with strategic airline partners for dnata Travel, and manage the achievement of income targets from these airlines. In this role you will also be required to identify short term and long-term tactical strategic plan for each of the key airline relationships, covering segment sales and marketing initiatives, route deals, pricing etc. Furthermore, you will work with internal lines of business to ensure achievement of the target revenue contribution for each of the airlines identified. <br /> <br /><b>Job Outline:</b> </p><p>This role is involve: </p><ul> <li>Account management of a number of key airline relationships which are of strategic importance to dnata Travel. </li><li>Set a sales, pricing & marketing strategy for the preferred airlines. </li><li>Identify on a regular and ongoing basis, the key targets and strategy of prioritised airlines for the business, and communicate this information to all lines of business and staff within dnata Travel, whilst understanding the trade-offs to be made to optimise the overall revenue of the strategic carriers. </li><li>Work at both senior and operational levels with each airline to deliver against the plan and identify value-ads and tools required from the airline to aid dnata Travel achieve its sales and income targets. </li><li>Manage negotiations with the airlines and on achievable performance for future years. Maintain a constant proactive approach to solving all potential issues with airline relationships, and maintain an up to date view of contractual obligations and status. </li><li>Analyse each airline's performance and deliver monthly updates on performance to the key airline partners recommending actions to fulfil targets </li><li>Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal lines of business within dnata Travel, including the Agency Support Unit, Corporate, Retail, Non-Air, Northern Emirates, Abu Dhabi/Al Ain, Yield, pricing and other teams to drive delivery of sales targets. </li><li>Work with the Non-Air unit and each of the airlines to identify areas for growth and accordingly create tactical promotions e.g. packages with hotels/commission levels on an airlines holiday products / Inclusive Tours Fares etc. </li><li>Identify new strategic business opportunities with airlines to ensure long term revenue protection and growth. Monitor and keep abreast of all changing market situations, and continuously adapt the business strategy to meet the environmental conditions and challenges of the future. </li><li>Research and track competitor activity and recommend and implement changes in processes, systems, strategy for business growth to address these needs. <br />Implementation of marketing & distribution activities through liaison and negotiations between key airlines and internal product development </li> </ul> <p><b>In order to apply for this role you must have the following:</b> </p><p><b>Qualifications </b> </p><ul> <li>Degree or Honours (12 3 or equivalent) in a business related discipline </li> </ul> <p><b>Experience</b> </p><ul> <li>8 years in a travel organisation or airline with experience at a similar level/function. </li><li>Familiarity with the Gulf travel business environment is desirable to understand customer needs and supplier capability. </li> </ul> <p><b>Knowledge</b> </p><ul> <li>Demonstrable knowledge of IATA regulations, and airline policies and procedures is essential. </li><li>Strong financial acumen is required. </li><li>Advanced skills on Excel and PowerPoint required. </li><li>Excellent presentation skills required. </li> </ul> <p><b>Salary & Benefits:</b> </p><p>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund and it has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1="Dh3.66."
