From holidays of romance and discovery, to the logistics of getting people wherever their work demands - we make plans that fit yours. </p><p> </p><p>We manage everything from business and incentive travel and worldwide tour operations - covering leisure, sports and active holidays-through to hotel sales and marketing representation, offshore and marine services, and government and corporate services. </p><p><b>The Position:</b> </p><p>The main focus of this role will be to research and identify new business opportunities (mergers/acquisitions) for dnata Travel, based on general principles set by senior management. You will be required to manage the implementation of the new projects through the various business units till they are successfully established. </p><p><b>Job Outline:</b> </p><p><b>In this role you will be required to:</b> </p><ul> <li>Research, identify and recommend new business opportunities (mergers and acquisitions) for dnata Travel. This could also be through some of the existing acquisitions i.e. Travel Republic. </li><li>Evaluate and recommend new business opportunities (and respond to those identified by the senior management) on a global basis, prepare/evaluate feasibility studies and make recommendations to senior management. </li><li>Evaluate the risks and exposures to dnata Travel as a result of specific new projects and recommend and implement solutions to the Manager E-Business in order to mitigate the same. This will require the jobholder to evaluate a range of parameters including economic, financial and political issues. </li><li>Recommend and implement optimum legal and financial structuring for the new projects in conjunction with legal and finance in order to minimise the Group's exposures and thus secure our investment. Ensure profitability of the projects through appropriate structuring. </li><li>Formulate implementation plans to ensure new projects are completed on time and within budget. Identify, along with the appropriate stakeholders in the line management departments, the resources required for each project. </li><li>Manage the transitional arrangements for new entities, including internal/external technical and operational expertise and ensure the smooth implementation of the project, up to the point at which appropriate line management is in place. </li><li>Identify opportunities for synergies across the wider group as part of the transitional arrangements, to ensure cost reduction and revenue generation opportunities are captured. </li> </ul> <p><b>In order to apply for this role you must have the following:</b> </p><p><b>Qualifications: </b> </p><ul> <li>Degree or Honours (12 3 or equivalent) in business management. </li> </ul> <p><b>Experience: </b> </p><ul> <li>8 years experience in a range of functional areas of a large organisation, specialising in the identification, evaluation and implementation of new projects. </li><li>Strong customer service and relationship management experience is essential.</li> </ul> <p><b>Knowledge and skills: </b> </p><ul> <li>Commercial and legal acumen, </li><li>Strong negotiating and influence skills are required. </li><li>Soft skills to deal with senior level business managers and external parties is required. </li><li>Should be a balanced all rounder, with good financial skills and business focus. </li> </ul> <p><b>Salary & Benefits:</b> </p><p>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund and it has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1="Dh3.66."
