<p> Job Title: Vice President Cabin Services:</p> <p>The VP Cabin Services (VPCS) is appointed by the Accountable Manager and reports to the Director - Flight Operations (DFO), on cabin service standards; welfare and discipline of Cabin Crew and departmental budgeting matters. You will liaise with the Director Flight Operations (DFO) on safety and operating standards and is to advise him of any Operations Manual amendments. You will be required to coordinate training and standard operating procedures with the Head of Training (HOT). The VPCS is a Nominated Postholder in respect of his training responsibilities. The Cabin Crew Manager and Cabin Training Manager deputise for this position. Purpose VPCS along with the Cabin Crew Manager will ensure that all Cabin Crew are skilled, professional, safe and secure in their duties. VPCS will ensure that the recruitment, training and discipline of Cabin Crew are in accordance with policy and within legal constraints. VPCS is responsible for the recruitment of crew. VPCS is responsible for the training, performance and discipline of the Cabin Crew operating on aircraft, even when employed by the client airline. Principal Accountabilities In addition to the foregoing, the VPCS is to: a) advise the DFO on all cabin safety-related issues, b) develop all training programmes , especially where sub-contracted, and to ensure that these programmes are in accordance with the Cabin Crew Training Manual (Part D), c) along with the Cabin Crew Manager ensure that the cabin crew meet the company profile on recruitment, d) ensure that Cabin Service is carried out in accordance with company standards and that is maintained by regular audits and recurrent training, e) ensure that correct records are kept by the Cabin Crew Manager on cabin crew performance and that these records comply with legislation, f) ensure that cabin crew and cabin management comply with all necessary company and Nig.CARs, g) ensure that all disciplinary action is carried out by the Cabin Crew Manager in accordance with legal and company regulations, h) be responsible for developing and managing the cabin services budget, i) ensure that departmental manuals and procedures are correct in content, issued to all cabin crew, amended and cross-checked and j) ensure that the correct number of cabin crew is available, as required by the customer airline, to meet the operational requirement, k) to liaise with customer airline to review and improve safety standards and procedures for cabin crew, l) be a member of the Flight Safety and Security Group, specifically to contribute towards the development of proactive safety programme, regarding cabin safety. Job Parameters The VP Cabin Services is appointed by the Accountable Manager and reports to the Director - Flight Operations (DFO). The VPCS is responsible for the cabin safety standards and regulatory compliance, including interface with the NCAA. He is to ensure the efficient running of the cabin services department. He is empowered to maintain the companys and/or the customers corporate identity. He must establish good communication lines between cabin services, all other departments and the respective customers departments. Working Relationships a) To advise, contribute and support the DFO and Accountable Manager in formulation of business strategies, b) To ensure the design and delivery of a fully integrated and personnel development programme to meet the needs of all staff in the department with the objective of improving motivation and performance, c) To keep the DFO fully briefed on all cabin service related matters, d) To keep the DFO fully briefed on all operational matters, which may have an impact on service concept ideas, e) To liaise with the HOT on crew training procedures and operational safety matters f) To ensure good communication between the Cabin Management team and cabin crew, g) To ensure harmony and good communication between the cabin services department, all support departments and the respective customer airline departments.
