If you want to join us, please visit emiratesgroupcareers.com to apply.<b> <br /> <br />The Position:</b> <br /> <p>To assist the Senior Metal Worker / Metal Worker in carrying out repair, denting, and other metal jobs on Ground Support Equipment and ULDs.<b></b> </p><p>To maintain metal working tools in good condition. </p><p> </p><p><b> JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS (MAXIMUM OF 10) </b> </p><p><b></b> </p> <li>Assist in carrying out Ground Support Equipment and ULD repairs as directed by the Senior Metal Worker/Supervisor in order that the maintenance is done as per set standards and to ensure the service level satisfies the customer. </li><li>Assist the Metal works Foreman to complete the denting jobs on equipment in order that the equipment can be released on time for operations. </li><li>Maintain all tools used in the metal shop by regularly servicing them in order that the metal works at Dnata Technical Services Workshop is not held up due to tools requirements. </li><li>Ensure that standard safety procedures are followed during maintenance activities to prevent any personal injury or ground support equipment/ULD?s damage. </li><li>Collect parts from store for ULD maintenance as requested by Senior Metal Worker in order that the maintenance works are completed on time. </li><li>Collect and deliver ULDs from the yard for maintenance and release after inspection. </li> <p> </p><p><b> MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS </b> </p><p><b> </b> </p><p><b> Qualifications: </b> </p><p>? Technical Training Certificate in fabrication/welding field. <b></b> </p><p><b>OR</b> </p><p>? O-level or equivalent education with minimum 2 years experience as a junior metal worker/fabricator in similar engineering workshop/organization. </p><p> </p><p><b> Experience: </b> </p><p>? If formal qualification is available, a minimum of 1 year experience as a junior metal worker in a similar engineering workshop/organization. </p><p><b>OR</b> </p><p>? Minimum of 2 years experience as a junior metal worker/fabricator in an engineering workshop/organization.<b></b> </p><p><b> </b> </p><p><b> Knowledge/skills </b><b>: </b> </p><p><b>* </b>Depending on the vacancy, one or more of the following would be an added advantage.<b></b> </p><p>? Ability to repair, reshape any type of accident damage of the body and other components. </p><p>? Knowledge of fabrication any type of job with available diagram and blue prints. </p><p>? Theory and practical knowledge of arc welding and gas welding processes and their safety hazards etc... </p><p>? Proven ability to communicate in English (Verbal & written) </p><p>? A valid UAE driving licence is preferred. </p><p>? Training on First Aid at workplace and Safety/fire fighting at workplace would be an advantage. <br /><b>Salary & Benefits:</b>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE.
