If you want to join us, please visit emiratesgroupcareers.com to apply.<b> <br /> <br />The Position:</b> </p><p><b></b> </p><p>To perform as part of a team as directed by the supervisor/officer all scheduled maintenance/servicing/repair/rebuilding/fault finding on all ground support equipment and/or ULD?s to ensure all tasks assigned are completed satisfactorily. </p><p> </p><p><b></b><b> JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS (MAXIMUM OF 10) </b> </p><p><b> </b> </p> <li>Carry out repairs and rebuilding of all breakdown/damaged ground support equipment and/or ULD?s without any time delay in order to minimise downtime of equipment. Also check all ground support equipment and/or ULD?s being worked on and report any other faults, damages to the supervisor/officer in order to plan for any predictive works. </li><li>Follow the general workshop safety procedures in order to prevent personal injuries or ground support equipment and/or ULD?s damages during the maintenance works. </li><li>Assist Supervisor/Officer in providing information regarding safety, quality and frequent occurrence on equipment breakdowns in order to help develop corrective maintenance plan. </li><li>Record on the individual equipment work order all maintenance/rebuild works carried out by the job holder in order to inform the supervisor/officer on the maintenance progress. </li><li>Inform the Supervisors/Officers of any spare parts & tools and that are needed to ensure timely completion of any maintenance works. </li> <p> </p><p><b> MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS </b> </p><p><b> </b> </p><p><b> Qualifications: </b> </p><p>2 years Technical Training Certificate in fabrication/welding field. <b></b> </p><p><b>OR</b> </p><p>? O-level or equivalent education with minimum 4 years experience as a metal worker/fabricator in similar engineering workshop/organization. </p><p><b> Experience: </b> </p><p>? If formal qualification is available, a minimum of 2 years experience as a metal worker in a similar engineering workshop/organization. </p><p><b>OR</b> </p><p>? Minimum of 4 years experience as a metal worker/fabricator in an engineering workshop/organization.<b></b> </p><p><b> Knowledge/skills : </b> </p><p><b>* </b>Depending on the vacancy, one or more of the following would be an added advantage.<b></b> </p><p>? Ability to repair, reshape any type of accident damage of the body and other components. </p><p>? Knowledge of fabrication any type of job with available diagram and blue prints. </p><p>? Theory and practical knowledge of arc welding and gas welding processes and their safety hazards etc... </p><p>? Proven ability to communicate in English (Verbal & written) </p><p>? A valid UAE driving licence is preferred. </p><p>? Training on First Aid at workplace and Safety/fire fighting at workplace would be an advantage. </p><p><b> OTHER RELATED JOB INFORMATION </b> </p><p>Dnata-specific accountabilities </p><p>? Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing, overhaul and all other repair/rebuild works on the ground support equipment and other vehicles in the airport in order to ensure the serviceability of the equipment. </p><p>? Carry out all repair works on ULDs and trolleys ensuring that this is done as per the prescribed pre determined specifications. </p><p> </p><p>EK Engineering-specific accountabilities </p><p>? To perform fabrication of GSE tools and Access equipment in support of base/line maintenance and overhaul workshops as directed by GSE supervisor with focus on efficiency and cost effectiveness. </p><p>? Fabricate tools and access stands to the standards outlined by users with all aspects of safety and quality to ensure that the base/line maintenance and workshops requirements are met efficiently and on time. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <br /> <br /><b>Salary & Benefits:</b>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE.
