Qatar Aviation Services, a subsidiary of Qatar Airways, one of the world's fastest growing airlines with an expanding route network covering the Middle East, North America, Africa, Asia Pacific and Europe, is responsible for providing all ground handling services and support at Doha International Airport.   Manager Airside Operations - Ramp   <ul> <li>As a member of the Airside leadership team you will provide significant contribution in the identification and development of strategic plans to improve airside operational performance and position QAS as an innovative, best practice ground handling agent.</li></ul> As a result of our prolific growth, QAS has identified a challenging new role in our Airside Operations team, which involves: <ul> <li>Managing  over 1500 staff responsible for the provision of passenger, executive and freighter aircraft ramp handling to over 30 airlines.</li> <li>Working as a member of the Airside leadership team to improve airside operational performance and position QAS as an innovative, best practice ground handling agent.</li> <li>Creating an Airside Operation that can respond effectively to situations in a real-time environment.</li> <li>Delivering a consistently high standard of operations in line with respective Customer airline expectations and Service Level Agreements.</li></ul>  The successful candidate will have at least 10 years relevant experience, ideally in a large Ground Handling station, preferably as Station Manager or a senior  Airside Operations role and possess the following traits or experience:-   ·         Bachelor's degree ·         Excellent knowledge of ramp operations ·         Expert knowledge of ground handling operational procedures ·         Ability to identify change required and obtain colleagues buy-in for the change at all levels           within the organisation ·         Decisive and collaborative leadership style ·         Ability to make tough, practical and fair decisions and stand by them under pressure ·         Ideally some experience in ramp VIP and/or executive jet ground handling operations ·         Effective communication skills, in order to manage a diverse multicultural workforce ·         Results oriented with high customer service focus and yet cost-conscious ·         A natural mentor and coach for team members ·         Fluent in spoken and written English ·         Demonstrates a consistent and considered sense of urgency     This important operational role carries a regionally competitive tax-free remuneration package and benefits associated with the airline industry in addition to excellent career opportunities.
