As part of a multi-disciplinary team the role is to work closely with our customer to understand their requirements and lead the design of the actuation systems that will meet the customers functional, performance and safety requirements. <br /> <br />The role will include <br />Developing systems designs through trade studies <br />Develop requirements for the systems and systems components <br />Overseeing the analysis of systems performance and safety <br />Working with designers and suppliers in the developments of systems and components <br />Developing test schedules to support integration and systems proving <br />Reviewing of evidence to demonstrate a valid and compliant design <br />Management of requirements from the customer through to item level <br />Provide technical direction of a team of up to 6 systems engineers <br /> <br />Qualifications <br />Engineering degree. <br />Experience in applying engineering principles and theories to electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems design and test. <br />Able to demonstrate extensive experience in actuation systems design in areas such as aircraft, trains, automotive or off-highway vehicles. <br />Able to develop and maintain relationships with customers and vendors. <br /> <br />EU citizens only
