Discover your future! <br /><b> <br /> <br />The Position:</b> </p><p><b>Job Purpose</b> </p><ul> <li>Provide a comprehensive and high quality service by extending adequate and sound consultancy advise to both the travel trade as well as the direct customer, on all Emirates Holidays products so that this materialises into bookings that generate revenue in line with departmental and corporate growth strategies. </li> </ul> <p><b> <br />Job Outline</b> </p><ul> <li>Courteously and efficiently suggest, plan, price and book package holidays from within the destinations and products featured in the Emirates Holidays World of Choice brochure range, to ensure that leisure sales and revenues are maximised to achieve weekly budgets, through the provision of high quality customer service. </li><li>Provide expert advice on all leisure related activities and tourist sites, including visa, health requirements and weather conditions, at all destinations feature in the World of Choice brochures, using information stored on the computerised system, in manuals or through personal experience, to ensure that the customer to the agent is accurately and efficiently advised and guided in choosing the best suited package. </li><li>Ensure accuracy of quotations, having taken into account clients wishes and ensuring all costs are included and accounted for, while protecting departmental margins. </li><li>Ensure completion of all reservations for airline seats, hotel accommodation, tours and transfers, as per customer requirements, in line with departmental procedures and guidelines. </li><li>Maintain contact with the agent or customer during the booking process, ensuring they are kept aware of progress and advised of any options should the services booked not be available as well as to ensure that confirmations are received and bookings finalised to the customers satisfaction. </li><li>Ensure that documents given to the customer are issued accurately to cover all services booked and that all files are closed on time and correctly for the accurate reporting of revenues. </li><li>Establish and maintain professional and cordial relations with the trade to assist them in selling Emirates Holidays so that Emirates Holidays is the first choice for their customers. </li><li>Assist the Senior Reservations Officer with daily reporting and accounting of documents for the unit. </li><li>Prepare refunds in line with the department procedures and guidelines ensuring that refunds are processed accurately without delays. </li> </ul> <p><b>Qualifications</b> </p><ul> <li>12 Years schooling or equivalent </li><li>Experience in a front line reservations position for leisure travel or travel related business. </li><li>Experience in selling tours is an added advantage. </li><li>First hand knowledge of tour operations and or airline reservations, documentation and reporting procedures. </li><li>Computer literacy together with a high level user knowledge on airline reservation and or Global Distribution Systems. </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (additional languages will be a distinct advantage) </li><li>excellent interpersonal skills. </li> </ul> <p><b>Experience</b> </p><ul> <li>Commercial/Sales.Tours (Outbound) 3 Years </li> </ul> <p> <br /><b>Salary & Benefits:</b>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66.
