Thoughtfully nestled between two National Parks and bordering the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, the resort combines the expectations of the high-end traveller with a commitment to broader social, ecological and environmental sustainability. </p><p> </p><p> To do this, the resort focuses on three key elements — service, luxury and location. These three elements, combined with the ethos for the natural habitat and environmental sustainability, create a unique offering and form the basis of designs and operations at the international award-winning resort. </p><p><b>The Position:</b> </p><p>Based on Property, the successful candidate, in consultation with the Emirates Airline HR Manager, will be required to provide a comprehensive HR service which will include, but is not restricted to, an internal consultancy service on such matters as company policies, Industrial Relations, staff development, remuneration and performance matters to the respective line departments in order to ensure the provision of a quality service and consistency in the implementation of HR policies. This role also has the responsibility for one direct report based in Sydney. </p><p><b>Job Outline:</b> </p><ul> <li>Advise and guide line managers and staff members on company policies and procedures thus ensuring consistency in implementation is maintained throughout the Company. </li><li>Guide line managers in writing job descriptions, dealing with manpower planning issues, promotions, training and development and all aspects of the corporate performance review process. </li><li>Provide an effective employee relations service to line managers and staff, ensuring that advice and/or counseling is given as appropriate. This will include on-site guidance for staff and related matters such as staff accommodation and allocation, OH&S, staff facilities, advising and participating in disciplinary and grievance interviews to ensure equitable treatment of staff. </li><li>Maintain relations with various external parties e.g. unions, industry groups, legal counsel etc with regard to facilitating and expediting satisfactory conclusions to employee issues and also be the primary contact with the local community e.g. educational bodies, Aboriginal and special interest groups. </li><li>Manage the recruitment and exit processes for all line departments by providing recruitment solutions and professional guidance to line managers thereby ensuring the highest professional service at best cost. </li><li>Participate in HR based projects and contribute towards developing new HR products, improved processes and systems that will enable HR to be more customer service orientated and progressive. </li><li>Provide statistical / analytical information on an adhoc basis to HR in Dubai and local management on such matters as Compensation and Benefits, Job Evaluation, Performance Reviews, Manpower Planning and Control etc in order to initiate the decision making process, highlight problematic areas, recommend solutions/alternatives to problems and follow through in their implementation. </li> </ul> <p><b>Salary & Benefits: </b>We offer our employees competitive remuneration packages, and career development supported by multi-million dollar training facilities in Dubai, and e-Learning programmes for those seeking a long-term future in the Company. </p><p><b>Experience and Qualifications:</b> </p><ul> <li>A university degree in a humanities subject or a recognised institute of Human Resources (AHRI) or other national equivalent qualification. </li><li>A minimum of 5 years experience at a supervisory level in a Human Resources Role, preferably within the hotel industry, or in a large multinational company. </li><li>Demonstrable experience in the Australian Industrial Relations environment, particularly in Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation and negotiation. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Proficient in MS Office programmes. </li> </ul> <p><b>Must have the legal right to work and live in Australia.
