Discover your future! <br /><b> <br /> <br />The Position:</b> </p><p><b> JOB PURPOSE </b> </p><p>Optimise the utilisation of available cargo capacity and revenues generated with optimal yields through effective implementation of capacity management and revenue optimisation techniques. </p><p><b> JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES </b> </p><ul> <li>Identify and Compute cargo capacity available in-terms of weight, volume, and ULD (Unit Load Device) of every passenger flight, derived based on passenger bookings, baggage trends, weather conditions en-route, aircraft allocation etc and adjust the capacity in SkyChain to support cargo reservations and sales teams across the network. </li><li>Implement capacity management and revenue optimisation techniques at flight level of both passenger flights and freighters by establishing the right product/density mix, yield per ton/km, permanent bookings/allotments and distribute capacity to the network in an efficient and effective manner to achieve commercial objectives. </li><li>Constantly monitor the allotment utilisation of stations on 5th and 6th freedom flights/sectors which are shared by 2 or more stations. Non utilisation of allotments to be identified and addressed to ensure SkyCargo does not lose on revenue opportunities due unutilised capacity and allotments by stations or freight forwarders. </li><li>As directed by the Cargo Control Duty Manager, identify appropriate routing or gateway for shipments to offline points taking into consideration the trucking cost and frequency offered by the service providers or utilise interline capacity offered by carriers based on the Multi-Lateral Interline Traffic Agreements (MITA) or Special Pro-rate Agreements (SPA) as appropriate. Ensure such routing is most economical for that particular shipment considering the freight rate charged. </li><li>Constant communication and co-ordination with outstations to identify any changes in booking patterns, destination mix, variations in weight/volume etc and re-shuffle bookings to ensure deviations are well taken care and the available cargo capacity is fully optimised. </li><li>Co-ordinate with Hub Operations on a day-today basis in the pre-flight planning and optimising of the available capacity based on the destination and density mix of 6th and 4th freedom traffic through the Hub. </li><li>In view of the payload or other operational related restrictions on certain flights or days, as directed by the Cargo Control Duty Manager, organise plans that need to be implemented to overcome the disruptions in bookings and re-allocate the affected shipments in such a manner that our delivery commitments are achieved to maintain customer confidence on Emirates. </li><li>Co-ordinate with UAE reservations and sales team to generate additional business even at a ‘spot selling’ basis to offset ‘distress’ capacity due to changes or cancellations in the 6th freedom bookings at D minus 24 hours in order to ensure the available cargo capacity beyond DXB is effectively utilised. </li><li>Source information and statistics regarding various non-conformities on bookings, traffic flow, allotment utilisation, service failures etc and provide such data to Manager – Cargo Control and Cargo Control Duty Manager on a timely basis for them to re-strategise business plans in order to achieve objectives. Ensure the data collated is accurate and any anomalies are immediately addressed. </li><li>Support the Cargo Control Duty Manager on various business support functions such as preparation of duty roster, leave plans and related resource deployments etc, updating of various manuals, circulars, work instructions guidelines, updating list of tables in SkyChain which needs to be constantly monitored, verified and updated. </li> </ul> <p><b> MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS </b> </p><p><b> Qualifications </b> </p><ul> <li> University graduate </li> </ul> <p><b> Experience: </b> </p><ul> <li>Minimum of 2 years experience in air cargo industry or in a ground handling cargo section in a supervisory capacity. </li><li>Experience in airline capacity & revenue management. </li> </ul> <p><b> Knowledge/skills: </b> </p><ul> <li>Thorough knowledge of cargo operations and cargo acceptance procedures, dangerous goods, live animals and cargo automation. Specialist knowledge of load control, weight and balance of aircraft, flight operations activities. </li><li>High level of Computer Literacy with practical knowledge and experience in airline operational systems. </li><li>Good communication skills both written and verbal </li><li>Ability to work under pressured environment. </li> </ul> <p> <br /> </p><p><b>Salary & Benefits:</b>We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66.
