<p><strong>CAE Parc Aviation</strong> on behalf of our client <strong>Qatar Aviation Services</strong> is seeking an experienced<strong> aviation manager to fulfil the role of Manager Safety and Emergency.</strong></p> <p>Qatar Aviation Services at Doha’s International airport provides all services from Passenger Services to Cargo Handling, IATA-Ticketing to Executive Handling, for all scheduled and ad hoc flights into Qatar.</p> <p>Employing more than 1,700 people in an operation that runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) looks after every passenger, bag and piece of cargo that passes through Doha International Airport.</p> <p>Formed in 2000, QAS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qatar Airways that provides services to every airline operating through Doha International Airport. As the sole ground handling agent, it is therefore responsible for all passenger, aircraft, and cargo handling.</p> <p>The Manager Safety and Emergency role is to support the business needs of Qatar Aviation Services, to implement key elements of the QAS Safety Management system in accordance with the regulatory requirements of DIA( Doha International Airport) QCAA (Qatar CAA) and ICAO. The Manger Safety and Emergency will be responsible for the development of QAS safety standards, ensuring the maintenance of these standards through proactive and reactive Risk Management.</p> <p>To be considered for the Manager Safety and Emergency role your minimum qualifications and experience should include:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate with a minimum of 10 years in a similar role in a multicultural environment, with preference for experience in an international airline or ground handling agency.</li> <li>Recognized safety qualification. ISAGO qualification would also be beneficial.</li> <li>Training and experience in functions related to emergency planning, safety programme development and /or management, plus experience in writing procedures.</li> <li>Experience and training in aviation related Risk Management and Accident Investigation Techniques and Safety Auditing.</li> <li>Minimum of 2 years in emergency planning in airport operations area.</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge on Safety Management System in aviation industry.</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of Airport Operations and Safety Regulations and Procedures.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills – fluent in English</li> <li>Ability to read, understand and interpret ordinance, law and operational procedures.</li> <li>Possess strong team player skills, problem solving skills.</li> </ul> <p>This is a permanent position with Qatar Aviation Services offering an attractive remuneration package, accommodation and some travel concessions with Qatar Airways.</p> <p>For more information on this role or if you wish to be considered for this very challenging and rewarding position, please send an updated CV to:</p> <p>Sandra McGuirk (<a href="mailto:Sandra.mcguirk@cae.com">sandra.mcguirk@cae.com</a>).</p> <p>Alternatively if you wish to have a confidential discussion please call 00 353 18161719.</p>
