About this role
The Senior Manager Aero-Political and Regulatory Affairs works within the Aero-political, Industry, Regulatory Affairs & Alliances Department providing below responsibilities: · Oversee and manage all bilateral Air Services Agreements between the state of Qatar and third countries with a special focus on all Arab countries. · Liaise with QCAA to create the framework that allows Qatar Airways the maximum flexibility and economic potential to exploit bi-lateral traffic rights to third countries. · Oversee and manage all regulatory laws and directives in all third countries which may have an impact on Qatar Airways. · Develop recommendations on how to best protect the airline from increased cost or loss of revenue. These are continuous functions in response to ever changing variables outside of the control of the airline. · Maintain quality control over all aero-political and regulatory affairs business cases. Qualifications: · University degree in International and Air Law, Air Transport Management or Business Managements. Post graduate studies will be an advantage. Experience: · A minimum of 5 years experience in a relevant field in the aviation industry · Extensive technical and practical industry knowledge and experience in national, regional and international aviation regulations and aero-political affairs. · Computer and MS Office application literate Skills and Competencies: · Creative and has keen attention to details · Influencing and negotiation skills · People leadership skills · Airline Business Awareness · Organizing for Results · Problem solving and Decision making · Excellent writing skills and ability to explain complex issues <p></p>
