Senior Policy Specialist

<p>Prepare and recommend the Policy, Regulation and Planning section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.</p> <p>Define national input to ICAO State Letters, Working Papers initiated for Assembly, Council, Panel and other Working Group forums for purposes of civil aviation security policy definition.</p> <p>Provide technical support to the UAE Government for International Agreements with other ICAO Contracting States to address matters of mutual interest.</p> <p>Developing National Aviation Security policy based on the guidance provided in ICAO Annex 17 and Doc 8973 &amp; other relevant ICAO Documents, to ensure adherence to international civil aviation security standards.</p> <p>Establish communications and cooperative processes with international organizations including but not limited to ICAO, IATA, ACAC, ECAC, TSA, TRANSEC, etc for purposes of addressing&nbsp; national aviation security legislation , regulation and policy development &nbsp;based on international best practices as well as UAE government direction.</p> <p>Propose amendments to regulations periodically as required by current developments and international requirements (e.g. ICAO, the UAE Government etc.) and ensure these are developed in line with required changes.</p> <p>Ensure civil aviation security policies framework contains policies and related guidance for National Civil Aviation Security Programme (NCASP), the National Civil Aviation Security Training Programme, the National Civil Aviation Quality Control Program, National Screener Certification Programme, Facilitation Programme, and Regulated Agents Programme to maintain a regulated policy framework for key civil aviation security and quality programmes.</p> <p>Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices taking into account &lsquo;international best practice&rsquo;, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
