About this role
Qatar Duty Free, a subsidiary of Qatar Airways, one of the world's fastest growing airlines with an expanding route network covering Middle East, Far East, Africa, Asia, Europe and USA, is providing high quality duty free operations at Doha International Airport. To coordinate the clearance of freight documentation through the relevant customs authorities working with customers to guide and advise on customs regulation qualifications both in the origin and destination countries Duties & Responsibilities. Process customs clearance documentation for our customer base, deal with the customs authority on a daily basis. Deliver an excellent customer service to all customers. Work on assigned key account customers to ensure their needs are met. Continue to develop knowledge on customs qualifications, ensuring new regulations are understood and implemented where required. Ensure Duty/VAT paid out is collected on delivery. Ensure any queries/refunds are followed up and resolved immediately. Key performance indicators are · Manager responsibilities of customer clearance products of the company. · Manage imported goods clearance at airport / Seaport / land port. · Organize update municipal approvals for food items. · Limit 3rd party intervention in clearance and customs issues. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, a strong leader as well as have very good presentation skills. You should be able to read, write and speak fluent Arabic and English. Ideally you will have 2 - 3 years experience preferably within transportation or logistics industry. Specialist minimum 5 year's job related experience required.
