<p>Requirements</p> <p>Capture and management (using DOORS software)Modelling and simulation of Landing Gear Avionics and Physical Systems (using Matlab, SCADE, ADAMS)Support of Engineering Verification and Validation on various Landing Gear SystemsSystem/Signal Interface Management between Landing Gear and other aircraft systems</p> <p>The responsibilities In accordance to the role, typical responsibilities may include:Support the delivery of engineering projects, working as part of a team.Provide a responsive, customer focused service to external and internal clients.Interface with external customers/suppliers on technical aspectsConducting technical investigations and root cause analysisTo help develop solutions or recommendations and reportsModification to existing Landing Gear SystemsParticipate actively in requirements and design reviewsSupport Validation and Verification activitiesPrepare technical reports to show compliance to the applicable certification requirementsCreate, design documents such as model specification requirements, model verification plans, test procedures and certification documentsLead integration effort when the Simulation and Product HW come togetherProvide support to production, pre-flight and flight testProvide support to In-Service Engineering and Product SafetyFind new and better ways of doing things The right person will need to demonstrate flexibility, breath of experience, a desire to be challenged and to contribute towards the success and growth of the business. The requirementsYou will ideally be degree qualified or equivalent in an engineering discipline and have some experience of the technical leadership of projects to time, quality and cost objectives. Aerospace industry experience and landing gear domain knowledge is desirable. A demonstrable track record in one or more of the following technical disciplines is required:Systems EngineeringRequirements based EngineeringMechanical systems designModelling and Simulation You must also be able to demonstrate:Technical awareness in the field of aerospace systems Some good client management and communication skillsProject team leadershipCommercial awarenessAdaptabilityInnovative thinking Ideally you will be pursuing or looking to pursue Chartership through the IET, IMechE or RAeS.</p> <p>Additional informationSome work outside normal office hours may be necessary. Travel to and from client sites and/or temporary secondment to client&rsquo;s offices may also be requiredSecondments to other aerospace offices in the UK or overseas may be available</p> <p>SECURITY &ndash; All candidates must be in a position to obtain UK security clearance to BC level.
