About this role
JOB PURPOSE: The job holder will be responsible to develop, analyse and maintain medium, short term and daily planning of manpower rosters for Ground Services at Doha Hub. The position plays a key role in rostering staff for duty in all the areas of the department, as well as managing leave allocation/training nomination. Through the application of basic statistical and optimisation methods the incumbent will be required to develop and interpret scenarios to optimise the manpower planning and allocation as well to support management with decision making and strategic policy formulation in an innovative & cost effective manner. ACCOUNTABILITIES Operational . Apply mathematical modelling & statistical analysis and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret so called what-if scenarios. . Recommends the impact on resources and KPIs to the business units. . Challenge where required to optimise the resource plans and allocation for increased efficiencies of the department. . Outline optimised master rosters for all operative volume related resources of Ground Services based on agreed roster rules & load factors due seasonal schedule change. . Prepare the optimised roster solution, roster coverage, under coverage and roster efficiency. . Maximises the utilisation of existing resources and ensures necessary service levels are met. . Prepare and maintain regular reports pertaining to KPI, short and long term manpower status/requirements, engagement rules and master rosters on a weekly, monthly or annual basis in order for senior management to make informed resource and manpower related decisions. . Creates and maintains management information dashboards. Management & Leadership . Regularly monitors and evaluates manpower resources and allocation, plans and makes appropriate changes. . Ensures proactively that operational manpower requirements are met on a daily basis to ensure best possible service delivery. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Qualifications: Essential . Bachelor's degree . Business Administration, Aviation/Airline Management Previous Experience: Essential . Experienced - minimum 2 years of job-related experience required . Two years of work experience in the fields related to Resource Management and scheduling, including Method Study, Work Measurement, Operations Research which can be reduced if the applicant has airline airport services and been responsible for Work-Study, IE projects. Preferred . Previous experience in Resource Planning gained during internships or study projects Job Specific Skills: Essential . Ability to systematically document project reports/systems and processes. . Industrial Engineering (IE) qualification including development of all relevant techniques. <strong>Preferred</strong> <strong> </strong> <strong>.
