About this role
<p> This role is instrumental in fulfilling group wide Operational Readiness and Airport Transition requirements in the most cost effective manner without disrupting the existing operation at Doha International Airport. </p> <p> </p> <p> · Directly involved in the opening of Doha's exciting new $14 billion Airport development; scheduled opening December 2012. </p> <p> · Work within the Ground Services - Hub responsible for developing, establishing and implementing trial concepts of new procedures and standards for Qatar Airways Ground Services at New Doha International Airport (NDIA) </p> <p> · Work closely with Ground Services, DIA and the ORAT Trial Manager </p> <p> · Ensure that all Ground Services staff members have participated and attended the NDIA familiarization and trial programs which are fundamental to guarantee a smooth transition and opening of NDIA.<b> </b> </p> <p> </p> <p> Scope </p> <p> </p> <p> · A key member of our Ground Services Operational Readiness and Airport Transition (ORAT) team </p> <p> · Responsible for the coordination and management of our trial operations and transition to New Doha International Airport (NDIA) </p> <p> · Airport experience strongly preferred </p> <p> </p> <p> Qualifications: </p> <p> </p> <p> · Bachelor's degree </p> <p> · Minimum 5 years of job-related experience required </p> <p> · At least 3-5 years work experience in an airline, airport, ground handling agent or hospitality environment. </p> <p> · Comprehensive understanding of the regulations and standards required by IOSA, ISAGO. </p> <p> · Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma as well as Total Quality. </p> <p> · Must have advanced skills in MS Project, Word, Visio and PowerPoint. </p> <p> · Must have excellent communication skills in spoken and written English. </p> <p> · Proven experience in designing process flow charts with MS Visio </p> <p> · Work experience in process/procedure development is an advantage. </p> <p> · Experience in similar a role in an international setting. </p> <p> · Experience in pre-openings of airports or hotels is an advantage </p> <p> · Procedure/Document Management/Publishing work with major organisation </p> <p> · Proven problem-solving skills </p> <p> · Available for immediate relocation to Doha, Qatar </p> <p> </p> <p> About Qatar Airways </p> <p> Qatar Airways is the only Middle Eastern airline to hold a coveted 5-Star rating from Skytrax and is one of the fastest growing carriers in the world today.
