<img src="http://counter.adcourier.com/dG9tZHVja3dvcnRoLjYxMTExLjQyNEB2aHIuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif" /><br />Main Duties/Accountabilities <br /> <br />Manage the initial acceptance of all consignments to ensure they are received at the correct location, free from damage that could otherwise compromise the airworthiness of the aircraft and that they present no threat in terms of breaches of security. <br /> <br />Liaise with Material Planning, Purchasing, Component Repair and the Goods Inwards Inspectors to ensure a priority based receipting procedure is maintained. <br /> <br />Monitor and control the stocks of time expired chemicals in accordance with the Control of Substances Harmful to Health Regulations, 1992 (COSHH) prior to disposal by a licensed contractor. <br /> <br />Use a computerised inventory system to record all material transactions so ensuring availability of aircraft parts and materials for aircraft maintenance. <br /> <br />After instruction and examination hold a valid forklift operators licence to allow the safe and efficient movement of bulk spares and materials. <br /> <br />Monitor and control stocks of stationary and packaging materials and through liaison with the purchasing section to ensure that such stocks are maintained to a sufficient level. <br /> <br /> <br />Knowledge and Skills Required <br /> <br />Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent. <br />Knowledge of a computerised stores environment preferred <br />Must demonstrate good numeracy skills and be able to work in a team and at times under their own initiative. <br />Have the ability to gain a Forklift Operators Licence. <br />
